I graduated from high school in 1992 and started college as an accounting major. I got all the way to my senior year before flunking out for reasons I won’t get into.
I went back to school and got a Computer Information Systems degree, which I finished in 2008. However, the entry level jobs I was applying for didn’t pay as much as what I was already making working in insurance, so I didn’t end up working in the field.
Now, I’m back in college, this time pursuing a Nutrition and Dietetics degree, but I also got the itch to update my coding skills. After looking over various online options, I settled on the FreeCodeCamp.org Full Stack Developer curriculum as the project I would tackle while learning to code.
My goal is to work on it a half hour per day and document my progress on this blog. Here’s my first completed project:
